A very warm welcome to The Meadow Community Primary School and Pre -School. Our vision is to provide a nurturing, stimulating and safe environment for your child to learn, discover and develop through play based learning. Our motivating environment develops confidence, creativity and discovery, both inside and outside of the classroom.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum framework in order for your child to build skills in all seven areas of learning. This then readies the children for Year 1 and beyond. Our overall objective is that every child will gain new skills and understanding through play. They will learn at their own pace and share their discoveries with each other, with adults in the setting and with their families and carers at home. 

We believe that education starts in the home so we look to encourage families to form good relationships with us. We have an open door policy and are available to parents especially at the beginning and end of the day. In school we have a Family Support practitioner Mrs Powell who will discuss any issues that parents need guidance and advice with regarding their child.
