Year 5
The teachers in Year 5 are Mr Barnes and Mrs Cheetham.
Our Learning Support Assistant is Mrs Vardy. Miss Smith also helps in year 5.

English: We will be completing non-fiction writing which includes holiday brochures and newspaper reports; fiction writing that includes stories and diary entries.
Maths: Area and Perimeter, Multiplication and Division, Fractions, Decimals and Percentages
Geography: Why are the Americas amazing?
History: How is the UK unique?
Science: Properties and changes of materials, Life Cycles
Art: Paint, Sculpture
PSHE: Relationships and Living in the wider world
RE: What would Jesus do?
MFL: Je suis le musician (I am the music man), Le retour de printemps (The return of spring)
Music: Cultural appreciation, Composers – The Romantics

Homework
Will be sent out on a Tuesday and will be taken back in on the Friday.
Please continue with reading at home and practise year group spellings and times tables.
PE
PE is on a Monday and Tuesday and will take place outside. Children will need to have a suitable PE kit including a waterproof. For those children who have their ears pierced, they will need to cover up earrings on these days if they cannot take them out themselves.
