Maths

It is our aim that all children at The Meadow Community Primary School have a positive attitude towards maths and see themselves as mathematicians.

Through a stimulating and challenging curriculum our children will develop skills to enable them to reason mathematically, carry out mental calculations efficiently, and equip them for their future lives both in education and beyond.

Our aim is to ensure that our children have a secure understanding of mathematical skills and concepts and are able to recall and apply their knowledge accurately.

The children will develop mathematical reasoning and learn to solve problems by applying their mathematical understanding whilst seeking solutions to problems.

We teach maths daily and follow the 2014 National Curriculum and the Symphony Learning framework. This year we have started to use The White Rose Maths scheme of work.
